Chinatown

I met up with Molly and we walked to Target and I bought new flip-flops and socks. Dave met us there and then we went to Dominick's and bought wine. We were walking to Chinatown and we met a nice lady named Helena who had a labrador retriever named molly; we had a nice conversation. Then we hung out in a park for awhile.

When Molly and I were first walking together I found this jacket on the ground that was really cool. I took it with me to Target and then put it in a bag and took it home and washed it. Molly and I played Phase 10 which is a great card game.

It was nice outside but as the night wore on it got soooo windy. We stopped by Chino's house to see if he had seen our roommate but he hasn't. Jeff our roommate has not been home in 4 days and we are worried that something happened to him. He won't answer his phone. He might be having surgury or he might have moved out of the country, either way my other roommates didn't seem too concerned. I had a dream last night that he moved out.

Finally after a lot of walking around we crossed the huge bridge and went into this really nice park. Ping Tom Memorial Park (300 W. 19th St) is the name of it.

We stayed there for hours contemplating, then walked back to Molly's and hung out and Dave and I walked home in the rain.

This morning we woke up and drove to pick up Carol who works for Curly (Dave's boss), his license was reinstated so he has that job again. He is working in 2 restaurants because one of them is only one night a week and the other one is a vegetarian one with more shifts.

We went to the Thompson center and met up with Dorian. We signed the letter to Emil Jones and went up to the Secretary of his office; Carol and I didn't go we left our ids at home. It was quick and then we left and went to a diner called Stages and we had them prepare us something more vegetarian. They didn't have veggie burgers, tofu or even beans! I had stir-fry without the rice and take out the water chestnuts and zucchini and it was on top of a pita. It was good except it wasn't rolled up and they drowned the veggies in soy sauce. Instead of the veggies I took out they added spinach and mushrooms.

Macy's Bootcamp

DAY 1 of Macy’s training, I got out slightly earlier because one I already went to get my ID badge and two I am with a partnership business, and honestly all I need is register training. So tomorrow morning I have to be there at 9:45am and doing register training.

DAY 2 more policies to do over and the dress code; we did a 5 hour Register training and I passed the test at the end with a 93% and we didn’t even do some of these transactions.

What are the pros of working for Macys?

• Get to wear all black clothing as well as mix it up with non-black clothing
• It’s okay to have tattoos and piercings
• It’s more than minimum wage
• I get 10% discount on food at Macy’s including Starbucks
• 30-40% on Macy’s merchandise

Started reading The Rum Diary. Last night it was really nice and we were walking and Dave bought me Ice cream from the ice cream truck. Today it was 71 outside and lovely and we delivered the Gene Siskel Film Center Newspaper for the month of May.

I sampled Frango, which are these mints that sold in Marshall Fields which now is Macys, its a Chicago thing. They are alright I suppose nothing to scream about. People are still pissed that the name is changed, because Marshall Fields is historic.
